Basketball Open GymsA group of parish and school dads often meet in the gym on Sunday evenings to shoot around and play a couple pick-up games. Watch the bulletin for upcoming Sunday night plans or contact Chris Chleboun if you’re interested in playing.

Building & Grounds Committee – This committed group ensures the safety, beauty, usability, and efficiency of our parish and school campus. For questions about St. Mary’s buildings and grounds, or to volunteer, contact Shirley Aubrecht.

Collection Counters – These dedicated parishioners (usually ushers) account for the accurate and timely deposit of monetary collections at Mass. To volunteer your time 5-6 times per year, contact Dennis Hessel.

Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP)Fondly referred to as “Chirp,” this spiritual retreat weekend is a great way to connect with other men of the parish and deepen your faith in a relaxing, comfortable, safe environment. CRHP weekends are led by parishioners who have themselves attended a CRHP weekend, so it is a great way to grow spiritually as a parish family. Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist – These lay ministers are commissioned to help with the distribution of Eucharist at Mass and to take Communion to the homebound and to the nursing home. For more information, contact Gloria Couvion.

Fall Fest CommitteeAs the biggest annual “friend-raiser” of our parish, the St. Mary’s Fall Fest is a family-friendly festival with inflatables, games, food, beer tent, performances, music, and wonderful fellowship the second weekend of September. Meals on WheelsThe Main Street Community Center in Edwardsville delivers Meals on Wheels and always welcomes new drivers for the regular schedule or just to sub as needed. To get involved, contact the Center directly or contact Jack Gabler.

Men’s Choir – Men’s voices join in praise at various Masses throughout the year. Watch the church bulletin for upcoming dates and rehearsal times. For more information or to add your voice to the mix, contact Music Director, Ann Richard.

Men’s Softball TeamThe men of St. Mary’s Parish field a local rec team or two each season. There are usually opportunities to join the team each spring and there are always opportunities to become a sub.  If you are a registered male in the parish and 21 or older please contact Chris Chleboun if you’re interested in playing.

Ministry of Praise – This ministry unites parish members who are ill or homebound through their prayers for parish and world needs and for the needs of their brothers and sisters in the parish. For more information, contact Janet Foehrkolb.

Parent-Teacher Club – The PTC is the primary fundraising organization of St. Mary’s School. All St. Mary’s teachers and parents are invited to help within this club to raise and allocate funds where best used at St. Mary’s School. To learn more, contact PTC President, Colleen Vrenick.

Pastoral CouncilThe Pastoral Council is an advisory council to our pastor. The members meet quarterly. If you are interested in serving on the Pastoral Council or would like to nominate a parishioner for consideration, contact our pastor, Rev. Robert J. Jallas.

PSR TeachersThe teachers of St. Mary’s Parish School of Religion (K-8) are volunteers. If you feel called to serve by faithfully teaching religion class on Sunday mornings, please contact PSR Coordinator, Eva Duncan.

St. Vincent de Paul Society – St. Vincent de Paul members are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to individuals in need. The list of services of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the United States is endless. No work of charity is foreign to the Society. School BoardThe St. Mary’s School Board advises the principal and pastor in the mission and operations of the school. Members are nominated and/or elected on a rotating cycle and meet monthly.
